BIM Resources for Residential Venting

Dryerbox Models

The Dryerbox recesses the dryer exhaust connection into the wall cavity, protecting the transition duct from crushing and providing cleanout access. Five models cover every framing configuration โ€” 2ร—4 and 2ร—6 walls, upward and downward exhaust orientations. Each Revit family includes accurate geometry, connection points, and clearance zones for clash detection.

Dryerbox 480
2ร—6 wall  ยท  Up or down exhaust  ยท  Universal
Dryerbox 425
2ร—6 wall  ยท  Upward exhaust
Dryerbox 350
2ร—4 wall  ยท  Upward exhaust
Dryerbox 4D
2ร—6 wall  ยท  Downward exhaust
Dryerbox 3D
2ร—4 wall  ยท  Downward exhaust

DryerWallVent Downloads

The DryerWallVent provides a low-profile, high-efficiency exhaust termination at the wall. The Revit family includes the vent body, collar, damper, and secondary back plate โ€” modeled at actual dimensions so wall penetration coordination is accurate from the start.

DryerJack Models

DryerJack roof vents deliver zero airflow resistance at the termination point. Three models cover different roof configurations. The Revit families include the base flashing, cap, and damper assembly โ€” critical for coordinating penetration locations with the structural and roofing trades.

BIM files for RoofNeck are in development.

Dryer-Ell & DryerFlex

The elbows and transition duct that connect the dryer to the in-wall exhaust system are where most equivalent duct length is consumed. The Dryer-Ell carries zero run-length penalty โ€” a significant advantage when modeling tight duct runs. Including these fittings in your BIM model ensures accurate equivalent duct length calculations before the first stud goes up.

Dryer-Ell LT90
90ยฐ long-turn elbow  ยท  Zero equivalent-length penalty
Dryer-Ell LT45

Additional Resources

InOvate BIM content is also available through the industry's leading architectural resource platforms. These libraries provide additional file formats, embedded product data, and integration with specification workflows.

CSI MasterFormat Reference
Section 11 30 14 โ€” Residential Laundry Appliances covers dryer venting components including in-wall connections, transition duct, elbows, and termination hardware. InOvate maintains ready-to-use specification language through Zero Docs. For projects classifying ventilation components under Division 23 (HVAC), the same products apply under ductwork and air distribution sections.

Need a file format we don't offer here, or working with a product that doesn't have BIM content yet? Our engineering team builds custom geometry on request. Call us โ€” we pick up on the first ring.
